False Light And Ashes

I need to get Mal a birthday present since she's turning 4 next week. I think I'm gonna go with clothes on this one. I'll stop on my way home from work tomorrow so I won't have to worry or think further about it. Probably gonna get her this from Gap Kids.





I just need to check on sizes first to make sure it will fit her. I think it's a cute outfit. I'd wear it! ^^

I just got back from shopping. I now have my christmas tree and a bunch of other good things to go with it. I'm all eager now to decorate. lol. I need to put it out of my sight so it's not just sitting there, tempting me with the allure of colorful lights!! I'm setting the rule that I WILL NOT put up any xmas decorations until after Thanksgiving. Gotta take it one holiday at a time.

So far it seems I have a good start to this christmas season!! XD

Unrelated, but I hope my alice nine dvd comes tomorrow. That would be sweet. <3

Was sorting through some stuff and came across a box of older photos. It's funny because while most made me happy looking at them I come to some that I kinda forgot existed and seeing them left me with some mixed feelings. Especially when it comes to that one particular person. I guess it's almost that knowing what I know now, some of the pictures just remind me of time lost that can never be regained, you know? It's hard to explain, being happy and sad at the same time. It's funny that they bother me more now than they did at the time when they were new. I guess now there's a sense of definite posession that wasn't there before. Who knows.

Wish I had bothered to bring my scanner here already. If I had I'd post some of these. Some other time I suppose.

I'm in one of those moods where I'm listening to songs and stuff that I probably really shouldn't be because they're making me wanna cry. Definitely overly emotional tonight apparently. *sigh*


Also....what the fuck Yankees?! They played so well the last three games and now they're kinda blowing it so far instead of ending it. Shouldn't have kept that first pitcher in nearly as long as they did. Totally screwed them for the rest of the game from the get-go.

and it looks like I'm going to have roughly 20 people to buy christmas presents for, give or take. Now, not all of these are major gifts or anything but I've figured there are about 20 people who I definitely think deserve at least something, you know? Now, I just need to start looking for presents to buy. I was considering getting my mom one of those netbooks as her main present, but I think if I'm considering that it would probably be smart to wait until black friday and then buy online since I think I'd be able to get a good deal that way. I don't know, we'll see.

I also need a christmas tree and all of that shit. lol. I'm probably gonna go artificial because I'm too much of a spazz about fire to deal with a real one. The safer the better I say.

Watching game 3 of the world series. I hope the Yankees win this one and the next game and end it in 5. I mean, I like the Yankees (even though I should be rooting for the Phils since I'm in PA) but it's more the want to shut up all the people on facebook that make WAY too big a deal about the Phillies. Yeah, I'm a bad person. Big whoop, wanna fight about it?

Looks like my neighbors above me are moving. I suspected it the past week but from all the banging above me today I'm quite certain of it. Oh well. I just hope whoever moves in will be decent...and quiet.

Watching the Eagles wreck the Giants right now. Think I'll do some cleaning shortly. There's some stuff I've been putting off due to pure laziness and I wanna get it squared away before the day is over.

I also have to judge the reflections art contest that they do in schools. My friend is on the PTA for this one local school and considering my job, asked me to be one fo the judges. I glanced briefly at what was there but I hope there aren't a ton of them. Didn't look so bad though from what I could tell.

I also want to plan out my list of people who I'm buying presents for for Xmas. I have a few ideas already of things to get so I may try to research a bit online later. I refuse to wait till the last minute again this year. I hate shopping during that last couple of weeks rush.

Does anyone else remember this?!!! I used to love watching this on Halloween. This along with Disney Halloween and that thing on Nickelodeon with Marc Summers. lol. Ah, the good old days. Plus I liked "the Halloween Tree". I actually hunted that down a couple of years ago and have it on dvd now. *nostalgic sigh*

Was feeling kinda down tonight....but then while I was sitting here watching the Yankees/Phils game thinking about someone I got a text....from the very person I was thinking about seeing how I was doing and telling me they were thinking about me just now while doing the same thing. *sigh*

2 things about baseball that I need to vent after watching some of the games this past week and now.

1.) Why the hell do baseball players seem to spit so much?! Seriously, does the game effect your saliva production because I highly doubt that. It's disgusting.

2.) Alex Rodriguez....really don't see the big deal made over him. In the media, you hear people go on and on about how gorgeous he is and whatnot and I don't even find him remotely attractive. He seems like a nice enough person but really, can't say I'm buying the hype.

Also, REALLY hope I'm not getting sick :( I'm the only one at work left that hasn't been sick in the past two weeks. It seems almost inevitable at this point. Hoping I'm not going to get to work tomorrow and find out I'll be going on day 4 of being the only main designer there. It's starting to wear on me since we're so busy. *sigh*

I have a pretty loaded day tomorrow. Here's my tentative schedule:

- sleep in a bit
- get up and ready. leave the house by 12
- drive to meet my friend Laura and drop off her halloween costume that my mom fixed for her.
- go directly from there to meet Sarah at 1 for lunch.
- Notre Dame game, 3:30 ^^
- out shopping afterwards

I'm sure I'll work in some time to talk to a certain someone too. <3

The potential for snow soon makes me very very sad. :(

In other news, I am quite happy and proud of myself for keeping all of my plants alive and healthy for as long as I have so far. lol. I was sure at least one of them would have bit the dust by now. ^^

What also makes me happy is waking up to a really sweet text from a lovely boy saying good morning and he hopes i have a great day. <3 *sigh* (said boy is lucky that I always remember to put my phone on silence while i sleep since he gets up at 5:30 am and thats when he usually texts me as soon as he wakes up...^^;) It's a good way to start the day.

I really hope that I'm not getting sick. :( I have the beginning of that sorta burning/stuffy head thing and have been like that all day. Other than that I feel pretty much normal though so I'm hoping it's just the weather or something. (though I doubt it considering everyone except me and Laura have been sick the last week or two at work.) I really can't afford to be sick at this moment. Time off is pretty much a non-option because we're so busy and also I need to be fully functional when there and can't be all foggy due to sickness because I can't afford to make any mistakes. Too many time sensitive jobs in my hands that would be mega-bucks down the drain if I mess them up! I guess I'll start pumping myself full of vitamins and stuff starting tomorrow since I don't really have that stuff here atm and don't feel like going out back into the cold.

Making some dinner now and then who knows for the rest of the night. I had some running around to do earlier then I stopped at my mom's house because I need to decide what I'm doing with my stuff that's left there. If I'm taking it, trashing it, or giving stuff away. I took some stuff tonight but hurt my back in the process carrying boxes of books so I'll go back tomorrow. Hopefully I won't have to stay too late at work..

I'm also anxiously waiting for someone to get home from his trip to Texas tonight. We have lots to talk about. <3
